Crocheted TINY Snowflake
Legend:
CH = chain
SC = single crochet
DC = double crochet
TC = triple crochet
SL ST = slip stitch
Pattern:
CH 3.
Note: Row 1 is worked entirely in the first chain of the starting CH 3.
Row 1: In initial chain work DC, CH 1 six times. SL ST in top of first DC.
Row 2: SL ST into first CH 1 space. CH 1. *(SC, DC, CH 2, DC, SC, CH in CH 1 space) (shell made). Repeat from * in each CH 1 space. Repeat from *5 times (6 shells). Join with SL ST in top of first DC.
Row 3: SL ST into next DC, CH 1. In same DC, *SC, CH 3, SL ST in third chain from hook (small picot made). In next CH 2 space DC, TC, CH 5, SL ST in fifth CH from hook (large picot made), TC, DC, CH 3, SL ST in third chain from hook (small picot made) SC in next DC, SL ST in chain space between shells, skip next SC, SC in next DC, CH 3, SL ST in third chain from hook. Repeat from * 5 times (six large picots). SL ST into top of SC at beginning of row. Finish off.
Note: I stiffen these with Stiffy (found near the Mod Podge in craft stores). Just use a sponge brush, apply to both sides and allow to dry.
